Moriarty lost against Grants back in February of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pintos came up short against the Pirates, falling 11-3. The Pintos' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Moriarty saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Weston Cooley, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Moriarty's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Grants, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Moriarty will head out on the road to face off against Espanola Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grants, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Belen at 6:00 p.m.
