After a string of four wins, Leroy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southern Choctaw Indians. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-39 on January 7th.

Leroy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Joshua Reed, who went 7 for 16 en route to 18 points and three steals. Ja'Kavien Collins was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southern Choctaw to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braylen Jones, who posted 16 points. Jones is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tristan Hill, who put up 14 points.

Leroy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Southern Choctaw, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Leroy has already played their next contest, a 48-44 loss against Millry on the 25th. Southern Choctaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
