Softball Recap: Burkburnett Bulldogs vs. Decatur Eagles
Burkburnett made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Decatur, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Burkburnett put the hurt on Decatur with a sharp 9-3 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Kennedy Smith was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Delaney Reitz, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Macie Call was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
