Football Recap: Frazier Mountain Find Success

Frazier Mountain won the last time they faced Mojave and Brazen Deavers did his part to make sure it happened again. The Falcons put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 44-22 win on Thursday with plenty of help from Deavers, who rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 89 yards and a pair of TDs on only five passes. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 55 yards.

The victory got Frazier Mountain back to even at 4-4. As for Mojave, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Frazier Mountain will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Orcutt Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Mojave, they will face off against Lone Pine at 5:00 p.m. on the 18th.
