Dowagiac put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Niles Vikings. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Wednesday.

Bree Campbell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Marlie Carpenter, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bree Behnke, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Dowagiac kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 11 consecutive matchups.

Dowagiac's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-0. As for Niles, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Dowagiac will head out on the road to challenge Northridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Niles, they will host Coloma at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
