Football Recap: East Liverpool Takes a Loss

East Liverpool lost against Salem back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Potters took a blow against the Quakers, falling 56-20. The Potters were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

When it comes to explaining why East Liverpool lost, don't look at Ben Myers. Despite the final result, he rushed for 64 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries, and also threw for 141 yards and one touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for East Liverpool and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Salem, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

East Liverpool wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 21-12 defeat against Beaver Local on the 12th. As for Salem, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-20 victory against Canton Central Catholic on the 12th.
