Volleyball Recap: Howland Tigers vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders
Howland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Roosevelt Rough Riders, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.
While Howland ultimately came up short, they really made Roosevelt work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 28-22.
Wesley Fee paced Howland's offense, picking up 13 kills. Fee were helped by Dylan Nguyen and Alex Slater, who contributed nine assists each. Nguyen was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.
Howland's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Roosevelt, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Howland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against North on the 28th. As for Roosevelt, they will be playing at home against Louisville at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
