Football Game Preview: Highland Cougars vs. Milan Wildcats

The Highland Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Milan Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Friday, Highland had to suffer through a 54-16 loss at the hands of Clark County. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Milan fell victim to Putnam County and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 53-0 loss at the hands of the Midgets. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Midgets are ranked 57th).

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Milan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Things could have been worse for Highland, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 22-8 loss to Milan when the teams last played back in October of 2015. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
