Baseball Game Preview: Chino Hills Huskies vs. Etiwanda Eagles

For the second straight game, Chino Hills will face off against Etiwanda. The Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Chino Hills has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Etiwanda will come in with four straight victories.

Chino Hills couldn't beat Etiwanda on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Huskies fell 8-5 to the Eagles. Huskies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Eagles since Wednesday.

For Etiwanda's part, Charles Stube looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, Stube posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Adam Ornelas, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Milius, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Etiwanda's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Chino Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8-1.

Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Chino Hills hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Etiwanda struggles in that department as they've averaged .345. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
