Basketball Recap: American Leadership Academy Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

After losing to Emery the last time they met, American Leadership Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The American Leadership Academy Eagles came out on top against the Emery Spartans by a score of 55-45 on Wednesday. The 55-point effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

American Leadership Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaxon Hunter, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 16 points. Hunter is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kannon Huntsman, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards.

Despite the loss, Emery still got an impressive performance from Scott Johansen, who posted ten points along with seven steals and six boards. Those seven steals gave Johansen a new career-high. Jace Frandsen was another key player, putting up 14 points and five rebounds.
