Basketball Game Preview: Spring Hill Raiders vs. Lewis County Panthers

The Spring Hill Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Lewis County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Spring Hill will bounce into Monday's game after beating Marshall County, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Raiders came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 63-56 on Friday.

Lewis County hadn't beaten Perry County on the road since November 22, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, the Panthers made off with a 65-64 victory over the Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted against the Vikings since November 22, 2022.

The victory made it two in a row for Lewis County and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points over those games. As for Spring Hill, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Spring Hill strolled past Lewis County in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 74-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
