Shaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spencer Greenwave. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-41 back in January.

Shaw's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Wilson, who posted five points.

Spencer had a senior duo take command as Ben Watson earned 13 points along with seven boards and five assists and Kerry Griffin put up 17 points and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Watson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyshaun Elzie, who had seven points and five rebounds.

Shaw's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Spencer, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.

Shaw has already played their next contest, a 56-41 win against Jordan on the 29th. As for Spencer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 84-58 defeat against Carver on the 31st.
