Basketball Recap: Houston Piles Up the Points Against Leroy-Ostrander

Houston won the last time they faced LeRoy-Ostrander and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Houston Hurricanes claimed a resounding 78-36 win over the LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 29 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Aubry Boldt, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc on her way to 32 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Botcher, who went 5 of 10 en route to 14 points and eight rebounds.

Houston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Miranda Nagel, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 15 points and eight boards. Mabel Johnson was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Houston's record is now 10-5. As for LeRoy-Ostrander, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Houston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-45 victory against Lanesboro on the 16th. LeRoy-Ostrander has also already played their next game, a 66-36 loss against Grand Meadow on the 16th.
