Softball Recap: Kingsville Takes a Loss

Kingsville couldn't beat Leeton on Tuesday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the second inning. The Tigers came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 19-7.

Kingsville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Stout, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Another was Gracie Hoover, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Kingsville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Leeton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kingsville will head out to take on Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Leeton, they will venture away from home to challenge Green Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
