Maine South hadn't done well against Glenbrook North recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Hawks walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Spartans. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Spartans back in April, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

While Maine South won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 26-24.

Leo Trespeces-Winck paced Maine South's offense, picking up nine kills. Trespeces-Winck got some help from Gabriel Redzic and his 19 assists. Trespeces-Winck and Redzic didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Maine South has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-11 record this season. As for Glenbrook North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-15.
