Basketball Recap: Isaiah Humphrey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Madison County over Strasburg

Madison County was the 57-50 winner over Strasburg when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Madison County Mountaineers took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Strasburg Rams on Friday. The Mountaineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madison County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Humphrey, who posted 12 points and five rebounds. Isaiah Jones was another key player, going 5 of 11 to rack up 14 points.

Madison County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Strasburg, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Madison County beat Strasburg by a score of 45-42 on Monday.
