Basketball Game Preview: Reavis Rams vs. Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves

Reavis and Thornton Fractional South are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Reavis Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Thursday, Reavis took their game with ease, bagging a 44-12 victory over Bremen. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.

Meanwhile, Thornton Fractional South waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 56-32 win. The Red Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 24 points or more this season.

Thornton Fractional South's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Reavis, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.

Reavis came out on top in a nail-biter against Thornton Fractional South in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, sneaking past 48-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Reavis since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
