Baseball Recap: New Hope's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but New Hope unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison County Tigers. The Indians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

New Hope saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Maples, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

New Hope now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Madison County, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2.

While New Hope had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
