Basketball Recap: Santana Gets the Win

Santana's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 62-52 victory over the Grossmont Foothillers. For the Sultans, this counts as revenge for the 74-61 win the Foothillers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

It was another big night for Dain Diaz, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Jose Garcia, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Santana's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Grossmont, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-18.

As for Grossmont, they will venture away from home to face off against El Cajon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grossmont is facing El Cajon Valley at the right time seeing as El Cajon Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
