Volleyball Game Preview: Mt. Carmel Sundevils vs. Eastlake Titans

The Mt. Carmel Sundevils will face off against the Eastlake Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mt. Carmel came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to San Dieguito Academy. The Sundevils have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Eastlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Granite Hills.

While Eastlake ultimately came up short, they really made Granite Hills work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-19, 27-25, 22-25, 15-9.

Mt. Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Eastlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
