Softball Game Preview: Battle Ground Academy Wildcats vs. Lipscomb Academy Mustangs

The Battle Ground Academy Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Lipscomb Academy Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Battle Ground Academy managed to slip by Brentwood the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Battle Ground Academy lost 10-0 to Brentwood on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Lipscomb Academy entered their tilt with Nashville Christian on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-0.

Battle Ground Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lipscomb Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Battle Ground Academy beat Lipscomb Academy 12-8 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Battle Ground Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
