Basketball Recap: Independence Victorious

After losing to Circle the last time they met, Independence decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Independence Bulldogs walked away with a 49-42 win over the Circle Thunderbirds on Thursday.

Circle's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Johnson, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Hailey Coble, who earned nine points and three steals.

Independence now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Circle, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-50 defeat against Mulvane on the 14th. As for Circle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-23 victory against Parsons on the 14th.
