Basketball Recap: Pecatonica Takes a Loss

Pecatonica lost against Eastland back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians fell 58-49 to the Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 366th, while the Cougars are ranked 87th).

Pecatonica now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Eastland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Pecatonica and Eastland will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Indians see the court they'll take on North Boone at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2026. As for Eastland, their break will end when they face Fulton at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026.
