Soccer Recap: Bear Creek Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Bear Creek had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Roosevelt Roughriders 8-2. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

Bear Creek hit Roosevelt with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sadie Staib (4), Valeria Lucio (3), and Elsa Johnson.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bear Creek will square off against Mountain Range at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roosevelt, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will square off against KIPP Denver Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
