Soccer Game Preview: Pajaro Valley vs. Salinas

The Pajaro Valley Grizzlies are taking a road trip to face off against the Salinas Cowboys at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Salinas took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Pajaro Valley, who comes in off a win.

Pajaro Valley headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for four straight, but Rancho San Juan let them put that streak behind them. Pajaro Valley put the hurt on Rancho San Juan with a sharp 6-0 victory on Monday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Grizzlies' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Salinas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Palma, falling 4-1.

Pajaro Valley's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2-4 and their overall record up to 2-7-6. As for Salinas, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-4.
