A&M Consolidated has gone a perfect 5-0 against Huntsville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The A&M Consolidated Tigers will square off against the Huntsville Hornets at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (A&M Consolidated has three straight wins, Huntsville has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

A&M Consolidated's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over Montgomery. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Huntsville's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Montgomery by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 694th, while the Bears are ranked 328th).

Huntsville's goal came courtesy of Marco Alvarado, who's now up to three this season.

A&M Consolidated pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those four contests. As for Huntsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

A&M Consolidated took their win against Huntsville in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for A&M Consolidated since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
