Baseball Recap: Packer Collegiate Institute Gets the Win

After losing to St. Ann the last time they met, Packer Collegiate Institute decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pelicans walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Steamers on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pelicans.

Kai Yamada spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Corbett Yaggy was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Christian Negron also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The win got Packer Collegiate Institute back to even at 6-6-1. As for St. Ann's, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2-1.
