Softball Game Preview: Wilson Tigers vs. Dillon Wildcats

The Wilson Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Dillon Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Wilson has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

South Florence hit Wilson with a 12-run third inning last Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 17-1 to the Bruins. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zoey Miller made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dillon). They put the hurt on Spring Valley with a sharp 19-2 win on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Wilson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Dillon, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13-1.
