Baseball Recap: Great Bend Panthers vs. Emporia Spartans
While Great Bend's victory against Emporia wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers skirted past the Spartans 4-3. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Ian Premer was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. Jaxon Wondra was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Great Bend has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Emporia, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.
