Football Recap: Natick Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with King Philip Regional

Natick faced King Philip Regional in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Redhawks fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 23-21. The game marked the Redhawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Natick had strong showings from Brandon Leshinski, who picked up 185 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and Matt Caissie, who threw for 277 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.9 yards per attempt. Leshinski really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 73 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Natick fell to 4-1. As for King Philip Regional, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
