Basketball Recap: Puxico Takes a Loss

Puxico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Greenville Bears 64-27. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-24 last Thursday.

Greenville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ariel West led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Ella Walk was another key player, going 7 of 16 on her way to 17 points along with five assists and three steals.

Puxico's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Greenville, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Puxico has already played their next match (against Campbell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Greenville will face off against Holcomb at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
