Basketball Recap: Chesterfield Piles Up the Points Against Central

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Andrew Jackson, Chesterfield was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Central Eagles 57-20. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Golden Rams considering their 25-point performance the game before.

Chesterfield found their leader in freshman Terrahjah Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. Reagan Rivers was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Tashia Quick and Jariyah Sowell certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Quick posted ten points, while Sowell had eight points.

Chesterfield is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Central, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-16.

Chesterfield will host York Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chesterfield is facing York Prep at the right time seeing as York Prep is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. Central has already played their next matchup (against Cheraw), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
