Cottonwood scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They had to suffer through a 62-17 loss at the hands of the Skyline Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Colts in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Xavier Cocci continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Skyline, throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 52 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. Jonah Mailei was another key player, gaining 88 total yards and three touchdowns.

Cottonwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Skyline, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cottonwood is set to challenge their familiar foe Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Skyline will face off against rival East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
