Soccer Game Preview: St. Thomas More vs. Spearfish

St. Thomas More hasn't had much luck against Spearfish recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cavaliers are taking a road trip to take on the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. St. Thomas More's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While St. Thomas More's victory against Douglas wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cavaliers beat the Patriots by a goal, winning 2-1. That's two games straight that St. Thomas More have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Spearfish lost 7-2 to Rapid City Central on Saturday.

St. Thomas More's win bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for Spearfish, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1.

St. Thomas More might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Spearfish in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Cavaliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
