Volleyball Game Preview: Palmdale Falcons vs. Quartz Hill Royals

Palmdale is 0-6 against Quartz Hill since March of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Palmdale Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Quartz Hill Royals at 5:00 p.m.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Palmdale challenged Lancaster on Wednesday. Palmdale lost 3-0 to Lancaster.

While Palmdale was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 26-24.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Gerardo Asij, who had 14 digs. Asij is crushing it when it comes to digs: he's had at least 12 every time he's taken the court this season.

Quartz Hill not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 27, 2024. They put the hurt on Highland with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

Quartz Hill not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Highland between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-16.

Palmdale's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Quartz Hill, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Palmdale might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Quartz Hill when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Palmdale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
