Basketball Game Preview: Idaho Falls Tigers vs. Hillcrest Knights

Idaho Falls hasn't had much luck against Hillcrest recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Idaho Falls Tigers will host the Hillcrest Knights at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Wednesday, Idaho Falls came up short against Skyline and fell 79-71. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (57), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest came tearing into Wednesday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Bees with points to spare, taking the game 64-47. The Knights pushed the score to 49-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bees cut but never quite recovered from.

Hillcrest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Idaho Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Idaho Falls was taken down by Hillcrest 83-51 when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hillcrest's Titan Larsen, who went 10 of 20 en route to 28 points and eight rebounds.
