Softball Recap: Pocahontas Comes Up Short

Pocahontas lost against Westside back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Redskins came up short against the Warriors, falling 8-2. The Redskins' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Violet Lynch was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Odgen, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Pocahontas' defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Westside, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

While Pocahontas had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
