Galesburg and Alleman are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Galesburg Silver Streaks will welcome the Alleman Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Galesburg easily dispatched Geneseo on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Galesburg fell just short of Rock Island by a score of 50-47 on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Silver Streaks came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Rocks are ranked 165th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Alleman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They took their matchup on Saturday with ease, bagging a 57-30 victory over Geneseo. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Alleman is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. As for Galesburg, their loss dropped their record down to 21-7.

Galesburg strolled past Alleman in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 53-34. Will Galesburg repeat their success, or does Alleman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
