Softball Recap: Jennings Comes Up Short

Jennings came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Notre Dame Pioneers, falling 10-4. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Emma Venable was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Malaya Sonnier, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Jennings' defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Notre Dame, the win keeps they at an undefeated 27-0.

Looking ahead, Jennings will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Acadiana at 6:30 p.m. As for Notre Dame, they will head out to take on Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
