Corona had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 26-point drubbing they dealt Bolsa Grande on Friday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Matadors with a sharp 28-2 win. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on four straight.

A big part of Corona's win came down to the chemistry between William Hitchcock and his top target Benjamin Campusano. Hitchcock threw for 372 yards and four touchdowns while Campusano picked up 190 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Campusano showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 67 yards.

Corona didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Bolsa Grande to a completion percentage of just 16.7%. The team can thank Jayden Goins for the heroic effort on defense: he. Corona wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 61.1%.

Corona will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Great Oak at 7:30 p.m. on October 2. This will be the Panthers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Bolsa Grande, they have already played their next game, a 28-13 win against Channel Islands on the 27th.
