Baseball Recap: South Brunswick Comes Up Short

South Brunswick lost against Woodbridge last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings fell 5-1 to the Barrons. The loss leaves the Vikings still looking for their first win of the season.

John Koch was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out ten batters over 4.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off only two hits.

On the hitting side, Collin Perna made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and one double. That double was his first of the season.

South Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Woodbridge, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.
