It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Winfield had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top against the Augusta Orioles by a score of 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Orioles: they've now won five in a row.

Brielle Griffin paced Winfield's offense, picking up ten kills. Griffin got some help from Addie Flaton and her 19 assists. Paisley Curtis controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Winfield's victory bumped their record up to 10-24. As for Augusta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-29-2.

Winfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Clay Center on the 25th. Augusta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
