Recap: Comer Tigers vs. Central of Coosa County Cougars
The Comer Tigers's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They skirted past Central of Coosa County 38-35. That's another feather in the cap for Comer, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Central of Coosa County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ka'Zyriah Johnson, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Jerquesha Heard was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds and five blocks.
Comer's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Central of Coosa County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Comer will take on the Fighting Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Alabama (Talladega County Central is ranked 386th, while the Tigers are ranked 377th). As for Central of Coosa County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Rebels at 4:30 p.m. on January 30th.
