            Baseball Preview: Bothell Cougars vs. Eastmont Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            A feisty cat fight will be fought as Bothell Cougars  duke it out with  Eastmont Wildcats at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  match.
On Friday, Bothell didn't have quite enough to beat Redmond and fell  8-6.
 Gus Meyer was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits.
 At the plate, Bothell saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Wyatt Mickelberry, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Eastmont had to hit the road for their first game and  it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against  Selah on Saturday, falling  10-3.
  Camden Schmitten put in work no matter where he played. He  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Schmitten was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Bothell now  has a losing record of 1-2. As for Eastmont, their record is now 0-1.
 Bothell was able to grind out a solid  win over Eastmont when the teams last played  back in May of 2024, winning  7-4. Will Bothell repeat their success,  or does  Eastmont has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
