Softball Game Preview: Grand Ledge Comets vs. Traverse City Central Trojans

The Grand Ledge Comets will take on the Traverse City Central Trojans on Saturday. Grand Ledge will be strutting in after a win while Traverse City Central will be coming in after a loss.

On Saturday, Grand Ledge earned a 9-5 victory over Okemos. The win continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Traverse City Central's good fortune finally ran out last Wednesday. They lost 13-0 to Evart. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

Traverse City Central's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Grand Ledge, their victory bumped their record up to 27-8.

Grand Ledge might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Traverse City Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
