Softball Recap: Lansing Bobcats vs. Whitney Point Eagles

Lansing won the last time they faced Whitney Point and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bobcats came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Piper Mason made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Mason was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shelby Howells, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
