Softball Recap: Winslow Victorious

Winslow never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against St. Johns on Monday. They blew past the Redskins 24-15. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 22-6 victory the Redskins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2025.

Winslow got a massive performance out of Angela Salazar, who went 4-for-6 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Salazar has posted since back in March of 2025. Cassius Cody was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Winslow's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Winslow has already played their next contest, a 24-5 victory against Page on the 3rd. As for St. Johns, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-8 win against Payson on the 3rd.
