Soccer Game Preview: Baldwin County vs. Gulf Shores

The Baldwin County Tigers will challenge the Gulf Shores Dolphins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gulf Shores took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Baldwin County, who comes in off a win.

Baldwin County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Saraland, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers blew past the Spartans 6-1 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Baldwin County, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Gulf Shores was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Orange Beach, falling 6-2.

Baldwin County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four contests. As for Gulf Shores, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12-1.

Baldwin County was able to grind out a solid victory over Gulf Shores in their previous meeting back in March, winning 2-0. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Dolphins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
