Preview: Immanuel Christian Warriors vs. St. Michael the Archangel Warriors
The Immanuel Christian Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the St. Michael the Archangel Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Immanuel Christian will be strutting in after a win while St. Michael the Archangel will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Fairfax HomeSchool scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Immanuel Christian still came out on top. Immanuel Christian managed a 62-56 victory over Fairfax HomeSchool. The win made it back-to-back wins for Immanuel Christian.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Immanuel Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Blanding, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. Gus Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, St. Michael the Archangel's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 78-53 walloping at the hands of Blue Ridge. While losing is never fun, St. Michael the Archangel can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Blue Ridge is ranked 25th).
Immanuel Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
