 In what's become a running theme this season, Burbank gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Friday. They never let the Sam Houston Hurricanes onto the board and left with  a   19-0  win. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for two  runs.
  Jalyn Ortiz made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). Ortiz was even better at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Savanah Salazar and  Nina Valdez did most of the damage at the plate:  Salazar  went 2-for-2 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple, while  Valdez  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Kristen Matelski, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Burbank has  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-7-1 record  this season. As for Sam Houston, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burbank will take on Edison at 7:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Edison will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something Burbank surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sam Houston, they will stay at home for another  game and welcome MacArthur at 7:15  p.m.  on Thursday.
